Here is what folks have been saying about the North Fork Festival.
The organizers plan to maintain the same quality event at the Palisade Roots Music Festival...

We now look forward to the Northfork Festival every June. We like the small, intimate setting. You have turned us on to some great bands in the last two years. Keep up the good work. - Salt Lake city

Thanks so much to you and George and everybody else involved for putting on such a great festival. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute! And thanks to Hotchkiss for having the friendliest people in the world! Very best regards from England

That is one of the more delightful events I have ever been to. The kids loved it. I find it to be so incredibly relaxing. The trees, the folks, the music, the noncommercial easy going flavor. It was fabulous. You totally rock. I hope you feel as good as I do about doing it.

Just wanted to say thank you for such a great time. A small town with a big sound. My husband and family always enjoy coming and hope to be able to come for many years to come. Great sound, good food, and great enjoyment for all.

I AM NOW HOME in Byron Bay ...THE HIGHLIGHT  of the stay was your festival and crusing around that gorgeous area during the summer.  I stayed at the Bross Hotel in Paonia for three nights and found that was perfect. Wandered around your little town and wineries that I loved very much.  I was right there with all of you loving the environment, the weather the smallness of the festival that made it just ‘’as kevin said.. This is very pleasant..I cannot think of a thing to complain about”.I think we all had to feel that way. So thankyou for your festival..it is the loveliest I have been to... Om shanti Maggie Robertson.

Just want to congratulate you on another great festival. Looking out on it from our booth I am constantly amazed at all the relaxed, happy people of all ages. You don't see expressions of stress, rushing to get somewhere, crying children, or even many cell phones in use much. It's a happening that isn't replicated anywhere else and hope you'll continue it in the same way in years to come. Thanks for all your work.

I am an “old “ timer when it comes to bluegrass festivals in Colorado… but this year was my first time to the North Fork Valley Bluegrass and my whole family loved it!  Just wanted to say thanks!   Anyways… we will be back next year.  What a great venue, great people… fantastic.  Thanks again. Layfayette, CO

I had a wonderful time volunteering in the beer booth and met wonderful people. The two of you did an amazing job creating a wonderful festival and i don't think there was an unhappy person in the bunch- i certainly only met warm, welcoming, generous people.

Thanks so much for the update!  I LOVED the pictures and it looks like everyone had a wonderful time (Shade!  You've got shade!).  Congratulations on the success of your efforts.  - Phoenix

Thanks for a great festival!  We enjoyed it very much!!  Our daughter and her boyfriend flew in from San Diego just for the event and were very impressed.  They are already making plans for next year and have convinced our other daughter and her family in Ft. Collins to join us.  We can hardly wait so keep us posted!

It's a brilliant festival and I'm so grateful for your keeping it clean and small. And for the wonderful musicians. It's such a treat to hear favorites again and to be introduced to new music. You are wonderful and I'm already looking forward to Hotchkiss next year. My very best regards Marilyn from Taos

We had a wonderful time in Hotchkiss.  We went specifically to hear Kane, Welch & Kaplin, and they did not disappoint!  We also enjoyed the Kruger Brothers...especially after they cut loose halfway through their second set.  The other standout was Carrie Hassler and Hard Rain....Looking forward to 2009, J Z

I have to tell you- that was a really wonderful bluegrass festival!!!! Thanks so much, As a banjo player of some 32 years, I
have to tell you that the Kruger Brothers were an exceptional treat. And to have them do three shows!!!!! Wow. Anyway, I will try to make it next year as well. This really is a special festival- the size is perfect as it is. And the music was superb.
